On Friday October 2nd, The senior leadership team at the Connacht Hospitality group, Peter Fitzgerald, Paul Fitzgerald, John Carmody, Wayne Neilon, Brian Lynch, Sarah Comer, Jacqueline O Dowd, Eveanna Ryan and Niall Beatty are giving up our usual comforts to spend the night in a sleeping bag in the grounds of the Connacht Hotel in solidarity with those facing homelessness during this critical time of need. As part of our Virtual Sleep Out challenge, we are raising desperately needed funds for Galway Simon Community, who provide vital housing and support services to people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness here in the West.
While we may not be able to come together in person for the annual Sleep Out for Galway Simon this year friends, family, colleagues, and teammates, from Galway and beyond, are asked to join them in swapping your bed for a sleeping bag and foregoing your usual comforts to spend the night in a unique and powerful way whilst supporting those facing homelessness.
Whether you pitch a tent in the garden, bed down on the living room floor, or spend the night under the stars in the office car park, they are asking you to take part in solidarity with the individuals and families experiencing homelessness during this critical time of need.
