The Hawthorn
We finally announced our latest project last month The Hawthorn by Galway Bay — a luxury hotel inspired by the Hawthorn trees gracing the Galway Bay coast. Nestled alongside the renowned Galway Bay Golf course, this new property will redefine luxury in the West of Ireland. The hotel will feature 126 rooms, a world-class restaurant, and a destination spa—all against the breath taking backdrop of the Atlantic. 2025 will see lots more activity in this special venue.
Simon Community Fundraiser
HYDE Bar was the venue for a night of glamour and fun for our Simon Community Fundraiser with one of Irelands most popular content creators Rachel Gorry, guests were treated to plenty of fun and games with special guest Alan Clarke. After the delicious drinks reception there was a fabulous meal followed by games and music. The night raised just over €5000 for the Galway Simon Community, huge congrats to all involved.
Croí Car
The Connacht Hospitality Group is proud to announce that funds raised from its recent Charity Golf Classic, held at Galway Bay Golf Resort, have contributed to a significant addition to the fleet of Croí, the Heart & Stroke Charity. The funds, totaling over €26,000, have enabled Croí to purchase a new electric vehicle that will play a vital role in their work to combat heart disease and stroke throughout the West of Ireland.
Representatives from Croí, Mark Gantly and Christine Flanagan, visited Galway Bay Golf Resort to showcase their new vehicle and express their gratitude to the community for their support. This electric vehicle will help Croí extend their outreach and support services, ensuring they can reach individuals and families in need across the region with minimal environmental impact.

M Fitzgearlds Bar, one of the most festive venues in the city, is proud to unveil its new Irish Cocktails Menu, a vibrant celebration of Ireland’s rich heritage and contemporary mixology. The menu features a unique collection of drinks inspired by local flavours and crafted with some of Ireland’s finest spirits.
The innovative menu includes celebrated Irish ingredients like poitín, Micil Inverin Whiskey, and Valentia Island Vermouth, offering guests a fresh take on classic cocktails. Each creation pays homage to Ireland’s storied culture, blending traditional roots with modern flair.

- Aran Island Taé – A warm, comforting cocktail inspired by the iconic Irish cuppa.
- John Lane Old Fashioned – A timeless favourite, reinvented with a distinctly Irish touch.
